“What is Twitter and what do you use it for?”
“How can Facebook benefit my business?”
“I don’t think social network applies to what I do.”
“Social networks cannot beat a one-to-one communication with people.”
These are the types of questions and comments that are often voiced to me. I attended a seminar on How To Sell Design and the overall theme was building relationships with your clients. Social networking is about building relationships with your clients; interacting with people and growing your network. Whether you follow somebody’s posts online or they follow you, the connection present between two people is similar to your offline interaction. The only difference is the venue.
Ever since the word “Web 2.0″ or “social network” appeared in mainstream media, the online world produced an ample number of resources documenting what it is, its growth and where it is heading. You can find a proliferation of blog posts, articles, videos and online seminars to help you better understand how all this social-talk can help your business. I’ve compiled a video list below of the major social networks that are being utilized by organizations worldwide.
