Appliance Service Technicians
Location: Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver
Rate of Pay: As per IBEW local 213 Collective Agreement

Job Summary:
Complete diagnosis and repair equipment for Home Services customers in the appliance field. A key customer interface and revenue-generator for the business.
Responsibilities:
• Foster the company values of customers first, business innovation, constant evolution, total teamwork and profitable achievement
• Ensure that the customer is satisfied
• Demonstrate at all times respect and care for customer’s property
• Repair all appliances of representative companies either in home or in shop
• Order, receive, and install the parts necessary to repair the appliances that are in and out of warranty.
• Complete paperwork and service procedures.
• Complete all service calls scheduled in an efficient manner as to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Maintain Company supplied service vehicle, tools, parts inventories and uniforms.
• Deliver or install appliances for training, sales meetings, or for placement in customers’ homes.
• Comply with all government regulations concerning appliance repair including but not limited to CFC recovery, Gas technician license, CFC certifications.
Qualifications
• Electro/Mechanical theory background and or training
• Ability to read Electrical Schematics.
• Domestic Refrigeration knowledge including R12 and R134a refrigerants
• Ability to diagnose and repair manual and auto defrost refrigeration systems, window air conditioners, dehumidifiers, freezers, etc
• Ability to diagnose and repair dishwashers and waste disposers
• Ability to diagnose and repair microwave ovens (including “over the range†style)
• Ability to diagnose and repair laundry equipment (washers and dryers) including front loading designs
• Ability to diagnose and repair cooking equipment, gas and electric (including solid cook tops with Halogen Heating Elements)
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to follow instructions and accept direction
